The county Department of Public Works announced that the Kaapahu-Waikaalulu Gulch bridges No. 44-2, No. 44-3 and the Waikaalulu Bridge No. 44-5 on Pa‘auilo Mauka Road between Hookahua and Kukuipapa roads will be closed for repairs from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. starting Thursday (March 2).

Closures will continue through March 10, weather and construction conditions permitting. There will be no work on the weekend.
Motorists should use alternate routes during closure hours.
Repair work includes replacing old timber components and renovation of the existing bridge structure.
